Based in Los Angeles, James Ó Ceallaigh is an Irish composer known for his versatile contributions to film and television.
He notably co-composed the score for Bong Joon-Ho's "Snowpiercer" television series alongside British composer Bobby Krlic (BEEF, Midsommar, Beau Is Afraid), which premiered on AMC/Netflix in July 2024. O Ceallaigh has contributed additional music to M. Night Shyamalan's psychological thriller "Trap," starring Josh Hartnett. His scores have also enriched productions such as Hulu's "The Stranger," starring Maika Monroe and Dane DeHaan, and the British documentary "A Mouthful of Petrol." Recently James has commenced work creating additional music for the Monkeypaw/Jordan Peele produced film "Him", set for release in 2025 aswell as the AppleTV series 'Invasion'.
